Philips AVENT BPA Free Manual Breast Pump Review:
This pump was reviewed by only a few at most. However, a little more than half of those who reviewed it said that they liked this pump. It received a 3.7 out of 5 star rating.
This was liked by many reviewers because of its suction. They were efficiently able to get a lot of their milk expressed during their pumping sessions. Another pro echoed by other reviewers was that they liked it for its portability; one reviewer stated that it was easy to carry around whether putting it in her hand or diaper bag. One mother stated how easy it was to use even with one hand; she was able to easily breast feed her daughter with one hand while pumping with the other. A reviewer said that it was easy to assemble and even easy to clean; Avent bottles also made storing the milk easy. If you read all the reviews, you can also see that many mothers were able to use this same breast pump for all their children. One other reviewer appreciated how this product came with extra replaceable parts which came in handy when one did not work effectively anymore.
However, this product did get some negative reviews. One reviewer did not appreciate the fact that this product had so many parts that it became a big responsibility and time consuming to have to clean and assemble them all. Another reviewer thought that the suction was just a little bit too strong that she had to use nipple cream or do away without the petal insert. Still, another thought that the suction was poor and the product leaked the milk out instead of being able to get stored directly to the bottle which wasted time and energy. Therefore, the reviewer went on to add that this product was a waste of money since there were better pumps available than this. One mother who was a cup D complained that this breast pump did not do much for her; she was not able to get enough milk and went on to get another kind of brand. On top of what was mentioned above, many reviewers did not like this because of its “squeaky” noise.
This breast pump only passed to get a higher rating by a handful of votes. Still, Philips Avent is a good brand, and mothers who would like to give their babies the best, which is breast milk, can give this breast pump a try.
